Terms and Conditions for Adding a Listing
Thank you for your interest in adding a listing to the North East Music Directory! Please note that the North East Music Directory is currently under development. We will inform you via email once it is live.
Glossary of Key Terms
To ensure clarity, the following terms are defined as used in this document:
- North East: Refers to anyone whose work in music takes places predominantly in any of the following areas – County Durham, Darlington, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Redcar & Cleveland, South Tyneside, Stockton-on-Tees and Sunderland.
- Music Community: Refers to individuals and businesses who are actively involved in the music industry; including but not restrictive to music-related spaces, rehearsal spaces, studios, venues, retailers, organisations, community music projects, educators, freelancers, promoters, event teams, management, artists, performers and producers.
- Directory: Refers to the North East Music Directory, an online collection of listings of the North East Music Community.
- Index Platform: Refers to the online system managed by Index Music Ltd, which hosts the North East Music Directory.
- Subscribed Members: Individuals or organisations with an active subscription to the North East Music Directory, allowing them access to the Index Platform and visibility of the listings within the North East Music Directory.
- Listing Submission: The act of submitting information to be included in the North East Music Directory, such as contact information, business description, and services offered.
- Prohibited Content: Content not permitted in any listing submitted to the directory, including material that is defamatory, offensive, obscene, harassing, or infringes on intellectual property rights or violates applicable laws. Note on Interpretation The definitions above aim to prevent ambiguity in the Terms and Conditions for the North East Music Directory. By submitting a listing, you agree to abide by these definitions, which are not open to alternative interpretations.
Terms and Conditions
By submitting a listing, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Directory Purpose and Scope
- The directory is designed to promote and connect the North East Music Community.
- By submitting your listing, you acknowledge that it will only be visible to subscribed members of the North East Music Directory who are logged into the Index Platform.
2. Submission and Review Process
- All submissions are subject to review by our team for relevance and adherence to community standards before approval for publication in the directory. We may contact you if additional information or clarification is required.
- Submission of a listing does not imply or guarantee publication. Index Music Ltd reserves the right to accept, reject, or remove listings at its discretion.
3. Accuracy and Responsibility of Information Provided
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided in your listing, including, but not limited to, contact details, business description, and services offered.
- You agree to keep your listing information updated. For updates, please email us at hello@indexmusic.co.uk.
4. Privacy and Use of Information
- We will keep your email and other private details confidential, using them only for communications related to your submission and listing.
- By submitting a listing, you consent to us displaying the information provided, except for private contact details marked as confidential, to logged-in members of the Index Platform.
5. Directory Access and Usage
- Access to the North East Music Directory is restricted to subscribed members. Submission of a listing does not grant you membership or access to the Index Platform beyond the listing submission.
- Please note that the North East Music Directory is currently under development. You will be notified via email once it is live.
6. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- You confirm that all information and materials in your listing (e.g., descriptions, images) are either owned by you or you have permission to use them. By submitting materials, you grant Index Music Ltd a royalty-free, non-exclusive right to display, distribute, and use this content within the Index Platform.
7. Prohibited Content
- We reserve the right to remove any listing containing prohibited content without prior notice.
- Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to, material that is defamatory, offensive, obscene, harassing, or violates intellectual property rights or applicable laws. 8. Indemnity and Liability
- By submitting your listing, you agree to indemnify and hold Index Music Ltd and its affiliates harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the content you submit.
- Index Music Ltd is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from your listing or its use by Index Platform members.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any significant changes will be communicated via the contact information you have provided or on our website.
10. Authorised Submission
- You may not submit listings on behalf of individuals or organisations without permission. If you submit a listing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have obtained authorisation from relevant parties within the organisation.
11. Agreement
- By submitting your listing, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. You acknowledge that non-compliance with these terms may result in your listing’s removal from the directory.
